Kato, how come you suddenly go to politics?

Well... I read Vancouver's Metro News yesterday.

Syria Chemical Weapons Attack

Obama presses world leaders

to support a strike on Syria

U.S. president Barack Obama pressed fellow world leaders on Thursday to support a U.S.-led strike on Syria, but he ran into opposition from Rissia, China and even the EU, which condemned the recent chemical weapons attack in Bashar Assad's country but declared it too soon for military action.

...

China's G20 delegation spokesman, Qin Gang, was among those who countered, saying: "War isn't the fundamental way to solve problems in Syria."

The prospect of military action against Syria overshadowed the global growth agenda at the two-day summit, which opened Thursday in the Russian city of St. Petersburg.
Leaders did, however, discuss the crisis during a dinner hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin, one of the Syrian government's strongest supporters.

My first reaction is "Oh, not again! No more Irag! No more Afganistan!"

So, Kato, you're against a military attack on Syria even if they find evidences for chemical weapons, aren't you?

Yes, I am. As the Chinese spokesman told, war isn't the fundamental way to solve problems in Syria."

Tell me, Kato, what is the fundamental way to solve problems in Syria.

We have the United Nations to solve international problems, don't we?

Yes, everybody knows that.

As yOu know, Diane, the United Nations is an international organization whose stated aims include promoting and facilitating cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress, human rights, civil rights, civil liberties, political freedoms, democracy, and the achievement of lasting world peace.

That's darn right, Kato.

The UN was founded in 1945 after World War II to replace the League of Nations, to stop wars between countries, and to provide a platform for dialogue. So why don't they use the UN to solve the problem.

But the United States seems to dislike the UN these days.

That's the whole problem. The U.S. tries to solve the problem with Arms, not with talk.

Why is that?

Well ... Wars make money! All Wars are for Profit.

WAKE UP! All Wars are for Profit.

Do you really believe that all Wars are for Profit?

Yes, I do. Here are some video clips to prove just that.

HALLIBURTON: WAR AND PROFIT

Halliburton Moves to Dubai

What should Canada do if President Obama asks Canada to join the attack?

Well ... I want the prime minister to reject Obama's proposal just as Jean Chretien did on Iraq War.

Chretien reflects on Iraq war

Do you think the current Canadian prime minister reject Obama's proposal?

I doubt.

Why is that?

Stephen Harper (the current prime minister) once wanted Canada to join the war in Iraq.

I don't think that Harper has enough courage and reason to stand up against the United States.

So, Kato, do you think that Obama might have made up a story in order to make an attack?

I think Obama has getting some pressures from the American Establishment.

Why is that?

If you take a close look at the American history, the past presidents have been pressurized to take an awkward action.

... like what?

For example, look at the U2 spy plane incident.

Kato's Comment

(u2plane.jpg)

(u2pilot.jpg)

On May 1, 1960 U-2 pilot Francis Gary Powers was shot down and captured while trying to photograph a Russian transcontinental missile base.
Four days after Powers disappeared, NASA issued a very detailed press release noting that an aircraft had "gone missing" north of Turkey.
The press release speculated that the pilot might have fallen unconscious while the autopilot was still engaged, even falsely claiming that "the pilot reported over the emergency frequency that he was experiencing oxygen difficulties."
To bolster this, a U-2 plane was quickly painted in NASA colors and shown to the media.
Under the impression that the pilot had died and that the plane had been destroyed, the Americans decided to use the NASA cover up plan.

Nikita Khrushchev used the American mistake to embarrass president Eisenhower and his administration.
After Nikita Khrushchev found out about the cover story that the Americans released, he developed a political trap for Eisenhower.
His plan began with the release of information to the world that a spy plane had been shot down in Soviet territory, but he did not reveal that the pilot of this plane had also been found and that he was alive.

The cover-up story said that the pilot of the U-2 weather plane had radioed in that he was experiencing oxygen difficulties while flying over Turkey.
It also claimed that the plane could have continued on its path because of auto-pilot, and that this could be the plane that crashed in the Soviet Union.

On 7 May, Khrushchev sprang his trap and announced: "I must tell you a secret. When I made my first report I deliberately did not say that the pilot was alive and well... and now just look how many silly things the Americans have said." As the trap began to come together, it became clear that Gary Powers was alive and that he had told his mission to the Soviets. Because of the release of some photographs of the plane, there was evidence that most of the covert U-2 technologies had survived the crash. So Nikita Khrushchev was able to openly embarrass the Eisenhower administration because he had revealed the lie of their attempted cover up.

When he stepped down, he televised his speech, which implies that he was getting pressures from the Military-industrial complex (or American Establishment).

Eisenhower warns us of

the military-industrial complex.

Do you think that President Eisenhouwer was somewht remorseful at the end of his term?

I suppose so. Therefore he said, "We must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military–industrial complex."

Do you think that President Obama guards against the acquisition of unwarranted influence by the military–industrial complex?

I doubt. He seems acting just like George Bush during the 9/11 crisis.

Kato's Comment

This is a 2004 72-minute documentary which explains a number of 9/11 conspiracy theories.
Producer and writer Dave Vonkleist says, "The public was not given all of the facts surrounding the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history."
Dave points out the largest coverup in modern U.S. history.
He also asks the audience, "Why was there no Boeing debris outside the Pentagon building immediately after the event?"

Come to think of it, I've never seen any part of the plane debris on the news clips.
Have you?

If you see all the Video & photographic evidences, you might believe that some of the top U.S. brass might have fascilitated the disaster as President Roosevelt didn't prevent the Pearl Harbor attack while knowing the attack was imminent.
Dave implies that some of the U.S. government officials made money, making wars in Afganistan and Iraq.

Several of the claims made in the film, however, have been rejected by some individuals in the 9/11 Truth movement.
The film is quite agitating yet thought-provoking.

I think, Obama might've been getting pressures from the military–industrial complex or the American Establishment.

【Himiko's Monologue】

Do you think that President Obama is getting pressures from the military–industrial complex or the American Establishment?

During the Eisenhower Administration, an immense military establishment and a large arms industry came into being---quite new in the American experience.
President Eisenhower said that the total influence (economic, political, even spiritual) was felt in every city, every statehouse, every office of the federal government.
He recognized the imperative need for this development.
Yet he warned that we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications.

"Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved," said Eisenhower, "So is the very structure of our society.
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military–industrial complex.
The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist."

In any case, I hope Kato will write another interesting article soon.
So please come back to see me.

Have a nice day!
Bye bye ...

Kato's Comment

This is a 2009 documentary film directed by Judith Ehrlich and Rick Goldsmith.
The film follows Daniel Ellsberg and explores the events leading up to the publication of the Pentagon Papers, which exposed the top-secret military history of the United States involvement in Vietnam.
It is really amazing that the American presidents and all the top bureaucrats had been keeping quiet about the decades of lies about the Vietnam War.
It is also mind-boggling to witness that Daniel Ellsberg stood alone againt the most powerful government in the world, knowing that he would lose everything, and that he decided to make the top secret documents public by delivering the copies to the media.

I really respect and admire Ellsberg who exposed the misdeeds of five U.S. presidents (Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon) as one man's mission to do right things.

Do you think you can stand up against the Establishment if they do something awefully wrong?

I hope you'll have such a strong courage as Daniel Ellsberg did.
